Steps to activate UAN number online in EPFO portal

To activate your UAN number online,

Step 1: Go to the EPFO portal

First, go to the official website of EPFO at epfindia.gov.in.
In the menu section, go to ‘Services’, then click on the ‘FOR EMPLOYEES’ option.
Next, click on the ‘Member UAN/Online Service (OCS/OTCP)’ option.

Step 2: Open Activate UAN option

A new page will open.
On the homepage, click on ‘Activate UAN’.
The ‘Activate UAN’ form will open up.

Step 3: Enter employee details

In the form, enter your UAN number or Member ID.
Next, enter your AADHAAR number, name, date of birth, and mobile number.
Next, enter the captcha code in the specified field.
Next, tick the checkbox and click the ‘Get Authorization Pin’ button.
An OTP will be sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile number.

Step 4: Verify Aadhaar

Next, enter the OTP received in the specified field.
Next, click on the ‘Validate OTP and Activate UAN’ button.
Your UAN will be activated.

Your default password for your PF account will be sent to your registered mobile number.

Now you need to login into your EPF account with your UAN number and default password and reset the password after login.
