A demand draft (DD) is commonly used for making payments that require proof of funds, such as application fees, admission fees, or foreign remittances. They are preferred over cheques as they cannot be bounced or dishonored due to insufficient funds in the drawer’s account.
State Bank of India (SBI) has made it easier to order a demand draft online using their net banking portal at onlinesbi.sbi.
